The Dress
Designer dress purchased at Neiman-Marcus for between $2000-$3000 in 1984. Silk with alençon lace and train. Dress was only worn once, and was immediately dry-cleaned and boxed in a special preservation/keepsake box and has only been opened for recent measuring. Also includes a full-length beaded-edge veil, with small cap that matches the dress (veil is two-tiered, for face cover veil that is lifted during ceremony). A really beautiful dress, fabric, and lace. Lovely for a more formal wedding, or even for a re-design. The dress was either a size 6 or size 4 originally. Sleeve length looks to be about 17", waist of the dress about 26"-28". Generous seam allowances should make alterations easier. Dress originally had a bustle button in back for the train, which may need repair.
