The Dress

This was a super flattering and very comfortable dress. The label is says size 6 but it fits much smaller (see reviews on the BHLDN website for further info). I was fitted as a 0 or 2 in all other BHLDN dresses and the 6 fit a bit tight. I had cups added to the bust and it fit very comfortably without a bra and didn't slip down the entire night. I am a 32A and the cups were helpful in filling out the top but could easily be replaced with smaller/larger cups.

Also, this dress HAS POCKETS (which I used to carry my vows, they really came in handy)!

I have not dry cleaned the dress and the hem is showing some dirt and scuff marks though it is primarily on the champagne-colored lining and the bottom inch or so of lace and should come out with a professional cleaning.

I got a ton of compliments on the buttons on the back as well as the pockets.

Alterations

Cups added and approximately 3 inches removed from the hem. A bustle was added as well but I never used it as the length was not too long and I was able to wear it unbustled throughout the entire reception. I’m 5’5” and I wore 3-inch heals and the front of the dress just grazed the floor while the train was a couple inches longer.

The seamstress added a few small stitches to hold the belt in place but they were unnoticeable once the belt was removed.
