The Dress

New Zealand based bridal designer Sally Eagle is known for creating beautifully soft, romantic gowns with flowing silk skirts and delicate lace detailing. Her dreamy 2017 collection stays true to her soft and feminine style while also being a little bit more daring with deep V backs, sexy straps and a subtle splash of colour.

Flora is an elegant dress with a beautiful full skirt, deep V neck bodice and a low back. I looked at many dresses but being tall (175cm) this was one fit me comfortably and complimented my figure. The dress is a standard size 12 which happened to fit me like a glove and didn't need alterations. I wore 8.5cm heels on the day and the base of the skirt just brushed my toes with a small trail to the back. The dress has been dry cleaned but I luckily didn't get any stains on it from the night anyway.

I had the dress slightly altered to include bra cups (I am a B/C cup) which can be easily changed or removed to suit. I also had three small loops added onto the outer fabric so it could be easily bustled during the night which looked great and made it easy to walk and around and dance in. The inner silk lining has a bustle sewed into it too.
