Essence of Australia wedding dress (D2446+)
After falling in love with this dress, I bought it from Laura May bridal boutique in Cardiff, South Wales. It really is the most flattering shape and style for a plus size bride; I had no real idea of what I wanted in a dress but I knew I did not want anything too big or extravagant for my Costswold barn wedding. The dress has so many lovely details that make it beautiful. The top of the dress is made with cotton lace over France lace pattern and the off the shoulder sleeves are scalloped, which gives the design a relaxed 'boho' feel. The skirt is us made with French tulle and extends in a short train at the back. The dress is fastened with the most delicate pearl buttons, which again add beautiful detailing. I chose to add a simple embellished belt, which tied around the waist and accessorised with a fine lace edged floor-length veil, which I am also selling.
I had so many compliments about my dress, I really did feel incredible and just hope that somebody loves it as much as I do!

Alterations

When I ordered the dress, it was ordered with extra length as I am relatively tall, however this meant the dress came with a lot of excess fabric which needed to be altered; I wore a mid height heeled shoe, which meant I was around 5 10". The sleeves were brought in by a few cm as they were very loose and lost the bardot effect on the neckline.
